Also, a reminder that there are about 6 spots open for the Olympic lifting class that starts on August 26th. This class is 5 weeks in length and promises to be well worth the small price of $50. There will be a lot of teaching going on but at the same time, this will give those that sign up, an opportunity to see how an Oly lifting program is instilled, everything from the classic lifts to assistance work.
The class runs from 7:30 to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 12 to 1pm on Saturdays.

2nd progression week of Wendler's 5-3-1. Did 3/3/3+ on presses. Finished last set of 153 for 8 reps. After assistance works, went 2 sets of 30 on wall balls. Would have liked to have gone the one set of 50 but by about rep 20 I knew two sets of 30 unbroken was in the cards for me.
I am seeing the differences between Rip's program and Wendler's and as much fun as I had with Rip's, I'm finding the breakup of the exercises plus the inclusion of assistance work to be great! And, with only one lift to worry about on Monday and Wednesday, the workout doesn't take as long. Means more time to get home and eat!
