Hey guys, as you know, I have been in LA this past week and now I'm back. I haven't had a chance to update this blog but I have a lot of things planned for the next few days and weeks. I still haven't forgotten about posting the ins and outs of my "15" strength program and I want to touch up on the upcoming Olympic lifting class and the subsequent competition on October 1st in Colorado Springs.
I am, in the very near future, going to be putting a lot more effort into Strength Development Inc and Nutrisimple. I plan on developing these two aspects of CrossFit Omaha to their potential. I want them to be vital to this gym and very important to the members of this gym. Our prime focus is still to be incredible CrossFitters and get results from that but also to understand that strength and nutrition are of prime importance in helping you become the crossfitter or athlete that you want to become.
Even if you only care to be healthy and independent, still your primary concerns should be strength and nutrition. Within these disciplines, lies all other factors such as stress, sleep, power, flexibility, etc.
I also plan to take a look at weekend seminars that touch on teaching how to do and teach the power-lifts, the Olympic lifts, and also what I call the CrossFit competition lifts. These are how to lift with the appropriate technique within CrossFit competitions. There is a certain way to dead-lift, snatch, clean and jerk, push press, jerk, ring dips, muscle-ups, pull ups, hspu's, and other lifts that are tested in competition. I saw a lot of top tier athletes that could be much better if they had technique to go along with their strength. I can teach you how to get it and what to do.
There are a lot of things in the works and in due time, I will offer more and more services. The strength classes will still occur but at a less constant rate. Keep an eye out for upcoming changes and head on over to Nutrisimple as well to see how the next nutritional challenge will unfold as I have changes in order for that service as well. We have also talked about the possibility of requiring nutritional consultation for all new CrossFit Omaha members.
Be excited and post thoughts to comments. In the end, you have the voice so let it be heard.

Ricky,
I'm excitecd to see what you have in mind for Strength Development Inc and Nutrisimple. I really like the idea of taking a weekend seminar to learn more about Olympic Lifting and CrossFit competition lifts. I'm looking foward to see what comes about in the future!
Sounds GREAT to me.
CF the last 2 years has done a lot for me, but as you and I have talked in the past, there are somethings missing.
I think extended classes are needed to get the proper techniques down, so the weekend thing looks interesting.
Looking forward to the changes!!
I believe one of my old commanders had a saying. "Embrace change". I'm down for any and all things you can come up with to make us better athletes, coach. My DL has gone up 100# in a year and I don't feel like a have a broken back, so I'm all for continued improvements.
